Enlistment opportunities in the military are virtually endless. The key to success is finding out which military employment job you desire. One intriguing military opportunity is a military officer.

A military officer-in-training spends many hours studying the military, which includes military tactics, strategy, and military history. The military officer also goes through intense field training, endurance training, and hands-on equipment training.

The Military Academy

The training base for Army officers is the U.S. Military Academy. The Military Academy offers a college degree and includes four years of intensive training and study in the traditions of the military and operations.

Reserve Officer Training Corps
ROTC is another option, and it stands for Reserve Officer Training Corps. ROTC trains a large number of military officers. This is considered to be the easiest option. Full and partial scholarships are offered in the program. This can be for two to four years. Qualified military officers teach the ROTC classroom courses. ROTC training also includes daily physical training and weekly and annual drills.

Officer Candidate School
OCS stands for Officer Candidate School, and it trains experienced soldiers to be commissioned officers. The soldiers in the OCS have usually already been in the military already for several years, and are extensively trained in OCS to move to the next level.

Direct Appointment
Highly educated doctors, dentists, and lawyers are recruited, and are first required to attend a basic military course that familiarizes them with military life.

Physical Training for Officers
Vital to officer training is PT, which stands for Physical Training. All three military programs - Military Academy, ROTC, and OCS, provide intense physical training to ensure that all officers are physically prepared to lead troops in any and all situations that may arise.

Intensity
Office training is quite intense, for the purpose of eliminating anyone who cannot keep up. Because the training is so demanding, officers who complete the training take pride in that.

Find out additional information about your military employment opportunities on military websites. There are tons of enlistment opportunities available online. There are also enlistment opportunities available at military employment recruitment offices.
