Successful candidates who are taken normally begin their career as what is known as “Ensign”. After two years of service, an Ensign can be promoted to Lieutenant Junior Grade if he meets level requirements. After four years, the Junior Lieutenant depending on his performances is made a senior Lieutenant. As the tide continues, the senior Lieutenant can scale through to other levels such as Air vice Marshal and then to the highest level known as Fleet Admiral.
Medical fitness is also a must since the career demands a lot of physical alertness from the applicants. A Navy career is not a work for the slothful or the disabled. It demands a lot of mental and physical action from the individual.
