DescriptionJob Scope This position is responsible for controlling inventory of TRA units through check-in, imaging, and preparation of vehicles for storage or sale. This position performs outside operations support for TRA and reports to the Yard Supervisor. Key Responsibilities Properly check in vehicles according to type (AS400 or TRACs account)Verify VIN, note mileage, special disclosures, missing parts, and highlight value added accessoriesDocument keys as present or missing in the TRACs systemVerify stock stickers are accurate and placed in proper location on vehicleDocument vehicle mechanical status (run/drive, inoperable, etc)Detrash vehicles and bag personal property, according to customer account requirementsPower wash vehicle and vacuum vehicle per customer account requirementsSecure keys for vehicle by cabling to steering column or in controlled key lockboxSign off on stock stickerImage vehicles according to customer account requirementsShrink wrap exposed areas and secure loose parts such as hoods, bumpers, etc. Determine if vehicle is a biohazard unit and communicate with supervisor immediatelyFollow biohazard unit protocol to ensure safety of employees and customersVisibly demonstrate safety commitment by following all safety and health procedures and modeling the behaviors related to suchActively participate in support of all safety QualificationsEducation & Specialized Knowledge
High School Diploma or equivalent required
Valid driver\u2019s license and safe driving record required
Previous experience in salvage operations, vehicle reconditioning, general auto body knowledge, etc. preferred
Ability to drive vehicles with standard and automatic transmission
Effective communication and organization skills required
Basic computer skills and the ability to utilize a portable terminal, brick, etc. preferred
Commitment to providing excellent customer service essential
Regularly required to stand, walk, reach, talk and hear
Frequently required to stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, squat, and climb
Ability to lift 1-30lbs (light hand tools)
Manual dexterity, repetitive motion tasks
Vision abilities include close, distance, and color vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus
Exposure to outdoor elements, including extreme heat and cold
Moderate noise level
