POSITION SUMMARY: Under general supervision, conduct operations in support of the Enterprise Service Desk and existing non-local Service Desks, develop scripts, analyze tailored reports, review and correlate audits, conduct Tier 1 and high tiered analysis in response to Service Desk escalation, monitor tickets to correlate events and incidents for maintaining overall required levels of performance of Information Technology Services.Perform patching of ticket management system and perform Remedy System Administration.Experience using Remedy.Certification in Information technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) version 3 FoundationClearly communicate technical solutions in a user-friendly professional manner. Escalates complex technical issues are required. Responsible for recognizing, researching, isolating and resolving first level information systems problems and coordinates referrals to appropriate technical, professional or service personnel for appropriate service, repairs, training and follow-up. MAJOR JOB ACTIVITIES: Please list by order of priority and, if possible, provide the percentage of time spent on the activity all should equal 100%. 1.Operate, maintain and upgrade servers, PC systems (CPU, monitor, keyboard, mouse), laptops, printers, DSN phones, and small peripheral items (KVM switches, CAC readers, etc). 2. Install new versions, updates, service packs, or replacement parts for all supported ACE-IT equipment. 3. Disassemble, inspect, repair, test, and repair PC systems and printers to motherboard or control board level. 4. Provide initial evaluation and recommendation to user who submitted the trouble ticket within specified timeframe of receipt of item. 5. Installs and configures network printers. 6. Joins client computers to Microsoft Active Directory Domains 7. Installs, configures, and maintains security software on military computer systems as required. 8. Installs, configures and maintains security updates and patches on military computer systems as required. 9. Performs other duties and assignments as required. MATERIAL & EQUIPMENT DIRECTLY USED: Personal computer, printers, network equipment and electronic test equipment and other general office equipment, wide range of client software applications. WORKING ENVIRONMENT: Work is 60% in office and 40% physical on equipment. PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES: Physical requirements include lifting, climbing, extended sitting or standing, or other physical efforts that are normally required. In addition, visual acuity, hearing and speaking requirements would be considered. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Education\/Certifications: One year related experience may be substituted for one year of education, if degree is required. Associated Degree.Graduate of military or technical courses in the field of Information Technology preferred. This position requires DoDI 8570.01-MIAT Level I certification and corresponding Computing Environment certification. Experience: Three years related experience.
