Summary
About the Position:
Serves as one of two Data Entry Assistants for the Exceptional Family Member Program (EFMP) in the Clinical Operations directorate of the Regional Health Command-Atlantic (RHC-A), the nation's premier military system for health.
Knowledge and experience with Personnel Network (PerNet), Armed Forces Health Longitudinal Technology Application (AHLTA), Composite Health Care System (CHCS) is desired, but not required.
Responsibilities
Responsible for input of medical and/or educational data into the Personnel Network (PerNet) database for the Medical Treatment Facilities (MTFs) within RHC-A.
Track enrollment packets that were returned with questions or problems.
Generate reports from the numerous EFMP databases, in support of QI/QA initiatives, command presentations, and Medical Command (MEDCOM) EFMP requirements.
Maintain data entry requirements by following data program techniques and procedures.
Extracts data from the SharePoint database to be used for reports using EXCEL, in order to create, maintain, and manipulate data.
Input Soldier?s enrollment information by reviewing, correcting, deleting, or re-entering data; and updating packets and dis-enrolling enrollments in PerNet IAW AR 608-75.
Apply a basic working knowledge of Exceptional Family Member Program (EFMP) processes and programs to handle routine and non-technical requests which require searching of office records, files, and databases.
Maintain and track the EFMP SharePoint database on the accountability of all EFMP enrollment during the processing cycle.

Specialized Experience:
One year of specialized experience which includes operating a keyboard to type a variety of material by using correct grammar, punctuation, spelling, and capitalization; uses medical terminology required to transcribe appropriate entries into a database; AND Utilizes various software packages (to include Sharepoint and Microsoft Office Word, Powerpoint, Excel) in compiling and preparing a variety of reports. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-05).
