Job DescriptionProvides direct support to the Chief Human Resources Officer by:answering calls and liaising with clients competently, drafting preliminary correspondence on CHRO-s behalf, delegating work in CHRO-s absence, planning and organizing meetings, organizing complex travel, taking action points and writing minutes, preparing papers for meetings, planning and organizing events, conducting research (internal and external) preparing presentations, managing and reviewing filing and office systems, completing specific work projects as assigned relative to corporate-wide operations or specific department needs, providing informational support for evaluation or resolution of regulations, procedures, or practices, serving as confidential secretary and assisting with responsibilities related to the Board of Directors, leadership committees, and the leadership team, assuring administrative detail on all projects: updating and statusing delegated tasks to ensure progress to deadlines; handling all inquiries within capacity, demonstrating initiative, discretion and tact in managing email, telephone calls and other requests.
EDUCATION: Associate-s degree, or an equivalent combination of formal secretarial training and experience.EXPERIENCE: 5 years executive level secretarial experience including managing calendars, coordinating travel, meeting scheduling and creating correspondence. Proven project management skills are required.SKILLS: Excellent interpersonal skills, both oral and written. Ability to work well with all levels of internal management and staff, as well as outside customers, clients and vendors. Demonstrated executive presence through professional presentation.
Ideal candidate is discrete, flexible, self-motivated, highly organized, and proactive. Should be an excellent communicator, quick learner, work well independently, able to meet deadlines, able to handle multiple projects simultaneously and deal with shifting priorities. Must be comfortable with computers with advanced-level skills in Word for Windows and Microsoft PowerPoint. Intermediate-Advanced level knowledge of Microsoft Excel. Good grasp of business operations, ability to manage and source resources and conduct research, well informed and internet savvy. Must be calm under pressure and capable of thinking on their feet in a crisis. Must be capable of competently dealing with situations in the C-Suite.
