Sales Technology Enablement Manager - Commercial Card


As the manager responsible for sales technology enablement for Commercial Card, you will play a critical role in taking the critical technology used by our field sales team to the cutting edge. You will be a key performer on a cross-functional team focused on advancing how our sales team engages and sells to prospects, but your work will be critically important across a range of functions, as you help us identify, stand up, test and perfect the tools that help boost sales productivity and efficiency and ensure that our sales team can make the most of them.

Given the rapid evolution of our business, a good candidate will be highly flexible, able to adapt to change and willing to work in white space to deliver powerful solutions in an environment that has the urgency of a start-up with some of the complexity of a corporate bureaucracy.


Sales technology acquisition and management

Scan the market for best-in-class or innovative new technology and software that can increase the productivity and sales efficiency of our growing field sales team

Evaluate vendors and build business cases for new vendors

Shepherd vendors through due diligence, tech. evaluation and procurement processes

Onboard new tools and work with technology and other partners to ensure readiness for pilot launches and full-scale rollouts

Contribute to pilot design and testing agenda for tools as appropriate

Help establish usage policies and tool settings and manage ongoing administrative tasks

Cross-functional collaboration with technology and product teams

Serve as sales intent owner and product SME for & related applications

Gather, influence and help prioritize business requirements in collaboration with other agile teams across Commercial Card and by translating sales team needs into intent

Work with Product & Technology to deliver enhancements to Salesforce and other tools

Collaborate with all relevant parties to ensure new technologies blend and reconcile with existing infrastructure to ensure a seamless experience for users

Serve as the conduit between sales and product/tech on sales enablement technology, helping ensure sales input and feedback meaningfully influence design and development

Serve as the primary technology trouble-shooter for Field Sales and creatively problem-solve through challenges, roadblocks and resource constraints

Sales team enablement on technology

Help build tool orientation, change management and training content for field sales team

Work with Sales Performance, Communications and Development agile team to build and maintain training content for new and existing sellers in a variety of formats

Ensure that as new tools are onboarded, training reflects and supports the integrated and holistic experience from a seller’s perspective

Foster sales team proficiency on tools and collect and react to ongoing feedback to ensure best associate experience, robust accurate Salesforce data, and high utilization

Serve as the development manager of a number of sales support associates

Manage sales support associates performing across Commercial Card agile teams

Coach associates in their Capital One careers and provide actionable feedback

Champion the Commercial Card and Capital One culture across our agile teams

Collect feedback from associates’ project/team managers and work with them to ensure associates develop their strengths and opportunities

Travel required


Basic Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree or military experience

At least 3 Years of experience working with cross-functional teams to deliver digital experience or technology solutions developed in an agile environment

Preferred Qualifications

At least 1 year of experience working with a sales team enabled by

At least 1 year of experience delivering training or technical help on technology tools

At least 1 year of people management experience

Process improvement, change management (particularly in dysfunctional or rapidly growing businesses), organizational transformation experience are all pluses

High learning agility and digital savviness with new tools and technologies

Strong communications skills
