The primary purpose of the AIRCRAFT PROPELLER MECHANIC, WG-8810-10, is to perform maintenance, removal, installation, inspection, troubleshooting and testing of aircraft rotor and propeller systems.
May make additional selections within 90 days of eligible(s) issuance.

NATIONAL GUARD MEMBERSHIP IS REQUIRED:
This is an excepted service position that requires membership in a compatible military assignment in the National Guard. Selectee will be required to wear the military uniform. Acceptance of an excepted service position constitutes concurrence with these requirements as a condition of employment. Applicants who are not currently a member of the National Guard must be eligible for immediate membership and employment in the National Guard in the military grade listed in this announcement.
Compatible military grade and assignment is required.
This is an excepted service position that requires membership in a compatible military assignment in the employing state's National Guard. Must maintain a compatible military unit, grade and job assignment as required by current directives.
Participation in direct deposit is mandatory.
Qualifications
General Experience:
Possess experience or training that has provided the ability to perform assembly and disassembly operations and make prescribed modifications to aircraft propeller assemblies and their components in accordance with technical specifications, procedures and requirements; Experience using hand and power tools common to the trade.
AIRCRAFT PROPELLER MECHANIC, WG-8810-10:
Must have at least 18 months experience or training performing standard, routine assembly and disassembly operations and making prescribed modifications to aircraft propellers, assemblies, and accessories; Experience or training performing maintenance overhaul, troubleshooting, testing, and repair of aircraft propellers, components, for rotary wing aircraft; Experience determining maintenance needed from work orders, inspection reports, historical record, and by own diagnosis.
