SUMMARY
Global Asset Technologies, LLC, a subsidiary of Bering Straits Native Corporation is currently seeking several part time and full time qualified Escorts for the AWG Access Control in Fort Meade, MD.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform duties as directed by the Access Control Supervisor or Shift Supervisor.
Conduct roving vehicular and/or foot security checks IAW standing procedures to monitor access control to assigned facilities, and the perimeter of the assigned Compound, to determine deficiencies and breaches, and immediately notify local law enforcement personnel, as necessary.
Recommend changes to access control procedures to reduce opportunities for theft, assault, illegal entry, or other kinds of violations.
Monitor and report on the status of protected property, material, equipment, and personnel, and immediately notify local law enforcement personnel, as necessary.
Routinely conduct checks and surveillance to detect individuals committing acts of violence, trespass, and theft of federal or personal property, and immediately notifying local law enforcement personnel, as necessary.
Escort and roving employees shall obtain and maintain throughout the term of this contract a SECRET security clearance.

QUALIFICATIONS - EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATION
Required (Minimum) Qualifications
In compliance with Federal law, all persons hired will be required to verify identity and eligibility to work in the United States and to complete the required employment eligibility verification document form (I-9) upon hire.
High School Diploma or GED.
Minimum of two (2) years’ experience as a full time employee of a civilian law enforcement agency, military police, or government/civilian security guard organization; or a minimum of two (2) years military experience in specified military occupational specialties in which the military tour of duty included duties involving security, force protection, weapons proficiency, protecting property, maintaining law and order, protecting lives or other duties similar in nature (i.e., Military Police, Infantry, Special Forces, Security Forces, Communications, War Veteran, etc.).
Honorably discharged (if applicable).
Must possess and maintain a valid state driver’s license.
Must speak, read, write, and understand the English language, apply written rules, detailed orders, instructions, and training material.
Have no record or history of illegal drug use, sale, possession, or manufacture during the previous five (5) years.
Have no convictions that reflect on the individual’s reliability including those crimes classified under Lautenberg Act.
First Aid certification
CPR/AED certification
Must possess or be able to obtain and maintain a SECRET clearance.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Excellent communication, interpersonal and team building skills to engender rapport with military personnel, civilians, and other contracts at all levels of DoD
Knowledge of national security program directives and standards is a must
Excellent writing and speaking skills are essential.
Must be able to operate a personal computer and standard office equipment.
Must have knowledge of a variety of computer software applications in word processing, spreadsheets, database, (MS Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint), and Outlook.

Job is performed in an office setting with exposure to computer screens and requires extensive use of a computer, keyboard, mouse and multi-line telephone system. The work described herein is primarily a modern office setting. During visits to areas of operations, may be exposed to extreme cold or hot weather conditions. Occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and loud noise.

As a condition of employment, may be required to pass a pre-employment drug screening, as well as have acceptable reference and background check results to obtain access to military base. Must have reliable transportation to/from work a necessity and must be able to obtain access to military installations.
